The Winooski River carves through the northwestern corner of this quadrangle, supporting the settlement of Marshfield and the nearby Mollys Falls. The landscape is defined by its high-elevation terrain, including Marshfield Mtn and Kettle Mtn, and a dense concentration of upland water bodies such as Kettle Pond and Bailey Pond. Along the eastern edge, the Washington County and Caledonia County boundary runs through Peacham Pond and near South Cabot.
