About this map

High-elevation glacial formations and deep drainage basins define this portion of the Alaska-Third Judicial Division as it appeared in the mid-century. The landscape is dominated by the massive Hanagita Peak and its surrounding crevasses, which feed into the Klu River and Hanagita River systems. Water patterns are central to the terrain, with Hanagita Lake serving as a significant mountain reservoir and Sangaina Creek cutting through the western elevations. Evidence of seasonal or remote human presence is minimal, marked only by a lone Cabin near the northern waters. To the south, the North Fork Bremner River flows through the deep Bremner Canyon, flanked by the steep ascent of Twelvemile and the drainage of Harrys Gulch. These features suggest a wilderness shaped by heavy glaciation and high-relief river carving, accessible only by the most rudimentary routes.
