Nutzotin Mountains dominate this high-altitude Alaskan landscape, where glacial drainages and alpine peaks converge at the boundary of the Wrangell-St. Elias Wilderness and the Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve. The terrain is defined by its water systems, including the headwaters of Bryan Creek and Willow Creek, which carve through the steep relief of the northern Wrangell range. In the southern portion of the quadrangle, the North Fork White River flows through deep valleys, illustrating the complex hydrography of the Copper River Census Area Southeast Fairbanks Census Area border. This survey provides a precise look at a region where natural boundaries and federal land designations overlap in one of the most remote sections of the American interior.
