Beebe and McRae anchor the northern portion of this landscape, situated along the diagonal corridor of the rail line and State Hwy 267. The terrain transitions into a more intricate hydrological network to the south, dominated by the meandering course of Cypress Bayou and its numerous tributaries. These wetlands and creek beds, including Pigeon Roost Creek and Hickory Plains Creek, define the natural boundaries between White, Prairie, and Lonoke counties.
