Mercers Gap and Cox Gap define the rolling topography of this Central Texas landscape along the Comanche Co and Brown Co boundary. The area is defined by a series of intermittent drainage systems, including Mercer Cr and the descriptively named Dry Blanket Cr, which carve through the limestone-rich terrain toward the S Leon River in the southeast.
