About this map

The Moose River winds across the northern reaches of this Maine landscape, passing near the small settlement of Mackamp and the intersection of Moose River Rd and Capital Rd. This terrain is defined by its extensive network of water bodies and dramatic ridges, where the highlands of Long Pond Mtn and Williams Mtn overlook numerous isolated ponds. The central and eastern portions of the map are dominated by the namesake Misery Knob and the long stretch of Misery Ridge, which separate the headwaters of the N Br Misery Stream from the Misery Stream valley.
