Cora sits at the southern edge of this landscape, where the agricultural flats meet the rising timberlands of the St Joe National Forest. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent peaks and drainage systems, most notably Mission Mtn and Huckleberry Mtn, which overlook the complex network of the Mission Cr forks. This area in Latah and Benewah counties shows a distinct transition from the valley floor at King Valley to the high ridges traversed by Skyline Dr.
