The high ridges and basins of the Wenatchee National Forest define this landscape along the boundary of Chelan and Kittitas counties. Centered on the prominence of Mission Peak, the terrain is marked by a complex system of drainage and water management, including the Beehive Reservoir and the H and H Reservoir Number One. At the southern edge of the survey, the Dutch Settlement sits within the Naneum Basin, showing the localized footprint of human occupation amidst the surrounding peaks. To the west, the deep incisions of Devils Gulch and King Canyon drop away from the heights of Mission Ridge. A network of backcountry routes, such as the Mission Ridge Trail and Devils Gulch Trail, provides passage between the high points of Wenatchee Mountain and smaller alpine water bodies like Clara Lake and Marion Lake.
