The Frank Church - River of No Return Wilderness dominates this corner of Idaho, where the Salmon and Payette National Forest lands converge. Much of the landscape is defined by its dramatic relief, from the high summit of Mormon Mountain to the deep drainage of Big Creek. This 2004 revision, based on surveys dating back to 1957, reveals a terrain largely managed for wilderness preservation rather than settlement.
