The eastern edges of Moscow define this part of Latah County, where the university town meets the agricultural Palouse. The street grid, anchored by the Latah County Courthouse, gives way to a landscape of rolling hills and draws including Paradise Valley and Haskins Flat. Historically significant burial sites are scattered throughout the region, from the large Moscow Cem and Sunset Memorial Gardens Cem near the city center to more remote locations like Buchanan Cem and Cordelia Lutheran Cem to the east and south.
