Imperial Gables sits at the base of a complex desert landscape within the Chocolate Mountains. This 2018 survey documents a region defined by its prominent peaks, including the high point of Mt Barrow and the distinctive silhouette of Sawtooth Mtn. The terrain is marked by seasonal drainage patterns, most notably Ninemile Wash, which cuts across the southern portion of the quadrangle. Transport through this arid environment is limited to a few established corridors such as Blythe Ogilby Rd and Imperial Gables Rd, highlighting the sparse settlement and remote character of this part of Imperial County. The map provides a clear picture of the land divisions and topographical extremes where desert floor meets the rising mountain ranges.
