The Shaviovik River flows across the northwestern corner of this remote North Slope landscape, while the Echooka River cuts through the southwestern corner. Most of the territory is defined by the drainage basin of Juniper Cr, which winds northward through a complex series of valleys and ridges. This map captures the area as it appeared in 2018, dominated by high elevation contours and the strict boundaries of the Public Land Survey System, including t3s r21e and t3s r22e. The absence of roads or permanent settlements highlights the extreme isolation of this Alaskan wilderness within the North Slope Borough.
