The Hamma Hamma River carves a deep path through this mid-1980s terrain where the Jefferson and Mason county line meets the high ridges of the Olympic Peninsula. The landscape is dominated by the transition between the Olympic National Park and Olympic National Forest, anchored by the massive presence of Mt Washington. A network of glacial lakes including Lena Lake, Jefferson Lake, and Tenas Lake dots the drainage basins, illustrating the complex hydrology of the watershed.
