Edwards Creek Valley dominates the western portion of this high-desert landscape in Nevada, where the valley floor transitions into the rising elevations of the New Pass Range to the east. This 2014 survey documents the sparse infrastructure of the Great Basin, centered on the critical water resource at New Pass Well near the base of the range. The transportation network is defined by unpaved corridors including Dixie Valley Rd and the various branches of Alpine Road, such as Alpine Rd N and Alpine Rd E. These routes follow the natural contours of the terrain, providing access to the remote township and range sections that divide this vast expanse of public land.
