Lostine Wild and Scenic River carves through the eastern portion of this high-elevation landscape, where the Eagle Cap Wilderness encompasses a network of alpine basins and granite peaks. The area is defined by its seasonal wetlands and meadows, including the eponymous North Minam Meadows and the nearby Lapover Meadows. These flatlands provide critical relief between steep ridges like Traverse Ridge and Marble Point.
