1966 Map of Palisades Peak

USGS Topo · Published 1980

About this map

Targhee National Forest and Teton National Forest meet at the Idaho-Wyoming border in this 1966 survey. The landscape is defined by the steep drainage systems feeding into the Snake River, with numerous tributary canyons such as Dead Man Canyon and Lost Canyon cutting through the high country. At the heart of the map, Palisades Peak and Little Palisades Peak overlook Upper Palisades Lake, a high-elevation water body fed by Palisades Creek.
