The Morgan Valley is anchored here by the settlement of Peterson, where the Union Pacific line follows the curves of the Weber River. This 1955 survey illustrates the sharp divide between the agricultural and rail corridor of the valley and the high, steep slopes of the Wasatch National Forest to the west.
