Dees Town and the surrounding woodlands of the Mark Twain National Forest define this corner of Wayne County. The landscape is heavily marked by family history and small rural settlements, with numerous burial grounds such as Pigg Cemetery, Gentry Cemetery, and Henson Cemetery situated among the hollows. The terrain is characterized by a dense network of drainages, including Otter Cr and Big Lake Cr, which carve through the ridges toward the Black River at Granite Bend.
