Kanisku National Forest dominates this high-elevation landscape in Boundary County, defined by a series of prominent peaks and glacial lakes. The terrain is anchored by major summits including Parker Peak, Fisher Peak, and Pyramid Peak, the latter of which sits adjacent to Pyramid Pass. This area is a critical watershed, with numerous drainages such as Trout Cr, Ball Cr, and Parker Cr flowing from the heights. High-country water bodies like Big Fisher Lake, Long Mountain Lake, and the Ball Lakes cluster are scattered throughout the northern Cabinet Mountains region.
