The northern reaches of Moscow meet the high ridges of the Palouse Range in this topographical study of Latah County. The landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the residential and agricultural floor of Paradise Valley to the prominent peaks of W Twin and E Twin. These heights serve as the drainage divide for several local water systems, including the Headwaters Trail and the Moscow Mountain Headwaters Tour, which trace the origins of Paradise Cr and Idlers Rest Cr. Significant landmarks such as Steakhouse Hill and Rowlands Park reflect the area's development as a mix of timbered uplands and expanding valley floor settlements. The eastern portion of the sheet highlights the importance of local water resources, centered around Robinson Lake and the various forks of Flannigan Cr, which cut deep through the surrounding terrain toward the S Fork Palouse River.
