The Yukon River dominates the southern half of this interior Alaskan landscape, marking a significant hydrological boundary through the Kusilvak Census Area. To the north, the terrain rises sharply into several prominent peaks, including Mt Ewaklalik, Dogfish Mtn, and Baldhead Mtn. These elevations overlook a complex system of side channels and sloughs that feed into the main river channel.
