1984 Map of Saddle Mountain

USGS Topo · Published 1984

About this map

The Flathead Indian Reservation dominates this mountainous landscape, where the confluence of several vital water systems and early transport routes define the area. The northern portion of the map centers on the Jocko River and its accompanying Jocko Spring, bordered by the modern Burlington Northern tracks and a visible Old Railroad Grade. This transport corridor follows the natural passage between the high peaks of the reservation and the Lolo National Forest to the south.
