Sanders sits at the northern end of this survey, anchored by Mountain View Cem and the nearby Sanders Cem. The landscape transitions from the agricultural and settlement patterns around Sanders Rd into the managed timberlands of the St. Joe National Forest to the south. This transition is marked by prominent topographic features such as Nehchen Bluff and Holaki Knob, while the boundary between Benewah Co and Latah Co cuts through the southern portion of the quadrangle.
