Lewis & Clark National Forest encompasses much of this landscape, where the jagged elevations of the Sawtooth Range meet a complex system of water management. The northern boundary is defined by the Sun River and the critical infrastructure of the Pishkun Canal and Willow Cr Feeder Canal, reflecting the region's reliance on irrigation and water diversion. These engineered waterways contrast with the natural drainages of Hannan Gulch and Norwegian Gulch that carve through the high country.
