Lindstrom and Scandia anchor this lake-dense landscape along the border of Chisago and Washington Counties. The region is defined by a glacial topography of interconnected water bodies, from the sprawling Chisago Lake and South Center Lake in the north to Goose Lake and Bone Lake further south. These waters are interspersed with significant local landmarks including Johnson Memorial Park and several generational resting places such as Glader Cem and the Panola German Methodist Cem. To the east, the terrain drops toward the St Croix River, protected by the Lower Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway. This corridor at Cedar Bend marks the state line between Minnesota and Wisconsin, where the river's winding path has long dictated the layout of local roads like Olinda Trl N and Quinlan Ave.
