Colville National Forest dominates this Northeast Washington landscape, where the high ridges of Molybdenum Mtn and Dry Canyon Ridge overlook a network of alpine waters. The area's complex drainage pattern is defined by Scotchman Lake, Caldwell Lake, and the sister waters of Anderson Lake and Little Anderson Lake. A notable elevation point, the Dry Canyon Lookout, provides a strategic vantage over the deep incision of Dry Canyon, while the western edge of the quadrangle is bounded by the Pend Oreille River.
