2017 Map of Seven Rivers

USGS Topo · Published 2017

About this map

Seven Rivers and the surrounding high desert of Eddy County are defined by a complex network of seasonal watercourses and springs that feed into the large reservoir of Brantley Lake. The terrain transitions from the prominent limestone elevations of the Seven Rivers Hills in the southwest toward the managed waters of the Pecos River basin. Numerous hydrologic features populate the eastern edge of the quadrangle, including the cluster of Major Johnson Springs, Twin Boils Spring, and Bubbling Spring, which indicate the significant groundwater activity inherent to this arid landscape.
