Sevenmile Hill and the surrounding ranchlands of Uvalde County are defined by an intricate network of waterways that cut through the landscape. This 2016 survey shows the prominent Leona River winding through the eastern portion of the quadrangle, punctuated by the Eightmile Waterhole and fed by seasonal drainage points like Taylor Slough. The topographical relief is anchored by the namesake Sevenmile Hill in the southwest and Big Mtn in the southeast, while the northern reaches include the Rancho Encino area.
