The Owl Creek Mountains dominate this high-desert landscape along the border of Hot Springs and Fremont counties. This 2021 survey reveals a complex network of seasonal drainage and steep topography, centered on the prominent landform of Sheep Ridge. The terrain is defined by its watercourses, from the W Fork Sheep Cr to the wide expanse of Mud Flat in the northeast corner.
