The Bears Ears rise in the northwest corner of this Colorado landscape, marking a topographically complex region where high ridges separate several seasonal drainages. The central portion of the map is defined by Dry Mtn and the namesake Sheephead Basin, illustrating a high-desert environment shaped by erosion. This 2019 survey documents a network of named "draws" that channel runoff through the high country, including Lefthand Draw, Marshall Draw, and Hartman Draw.
