Shevlin serves as the primary hub of this northern Minnesota landscape, situated along the corridor of Us-2. This 2013 survey reveals a concentrated area of genealogical interest just north of the town center, where several burial grounds including Shevlin Cem, Landstad Cem, and Our Lady of Victory Cem are clustered. The surrounding terrain is defined by a dense network of water bodies, with the Clearwater River meandering through the central portion of the quadrangle, flanked by numerous lakes like Solberg Lake, Blair Lake, and Berg Lake.
