The Continental Divide defines the watershed and high country of this portion of the Purcell Mountains in the Alaskan interior. This 2016 survey documents a remote landscape where the drainage patterns of the Shinilikrok Cr flow north, while the headwaters of Billy Hawk Cr carve through the southern slopes of Purcell Mtn. The terrain is characterized by steep elevation changes and complex drainage systems that underscore the geographic importance of the divide. Public Land Survey System grids for t11n r5e, t11n r6e, t10n r5e, and t10n r6e provide the structural framework for this roadless wilderness, which remains primarily defined by its hydrological features and high peaks.
