Sidney and the surrounding Comanche County landscape are defined by a complex network of seasonal drainages and prominent rises. The terrain transitions from the rolling drainages of Sweetwater Cr and Jimmys Cr in the north toward the distinct elevations of Round Mtn and Long Mtn. These peaks overlook the southern valleys where Indian Cr winds toward the city of Comanche in the southeast corner.
