USGS Topo · Published 1997

About this map

The South Fork Trinity River carves a deep path through this Northern California landscape, serving as the primary geographic corridor between the Six Rivers National Forest and the Trinity National Forest. At the end of the 20th century, the area remained defined by its wilderness character, punctuated by isolated ranching outposts such as Manzanita Ranch, Lake Mountain Ranch, and Hog Ranch. Significant elevation changes are marked by Sims Mountain in the north and the prominent Last Chance Ridge to the south.
