Sleeping Bear Cr winds through this rural landscape along the border of Harper and Woodward Counties in northwestern Oklahoma. The area is defined by a complex network of ephemeral drainages and small-scale water management, evidenced by numerous named and numbered impoundments such as the Selman 29 Reservoir and the George Number 2 Reservoir. A rectilinear grid of section roads, including NS 208 Rd and EW 23 Rd, facilitates access to this sparsely populated rangeland.
