Jordan Valley sits at the heart of this Marion County landscape, where the foothills of the Cascades meet the drainage basins of several major watercourses. The map captures a transition from valley floor to significant elevations, culminating at the summit of Snow Peak. To the south, Indian Prairie and Indian Prairie Lake provide evidence of the unique upland terrain that defines the region’s topography. The drainage network is dense and complex, with the Roaring River and S Roaring River cutting through the southern reaches while Thomas Creek and Jordan Cr dominate the northern and central sections. This 2014 survey documents the modern road network, including Thomas Creek DR and Fox Valley Rd, which provide access to the timberlands and rural properties that characterize this portion of the Pacific Northwest. A curious landmark known as Devils Den is also recorded, suggesting a locally recognized topographical or historical feature.
