About this map

The coastal settlement of Bluff sits at the edge of the Seward Peninsula, overlooking the expansive waters of Norton Sound. This shoreline is defined by the prominent cliff of Topkok Head and the natural indentation of Boat Harbor, which provided a strategic coastal access point for early twentieth-century mining operations in the region. The landscape is characterized by a series of parallel drainages flowing southward from the upland tundra toward the sea, including Daniels Cr and Eldorado Cr.
