The Schell Creek Range dominates the western half of this Nevada landscape, where high-altitude drainage systems like Garrett Canyon and Stage Canyon descend toward the valley floor. Within the Humboldt National Forest, a network of trails and rugged roads, including the N Mud Springs Draw Trail and S Mud Springs Trail, provides access to remote landmarks such as Siegel Basin.
