The West Branch Little River and Little River form the central drainage of this Lamoille County landscape, framing the historic village of Stowe. The settlement pattern follows the valley floor, connecting the primary village to Lower Village and the community of Moscow to the south. Numerous small burying grounds are preserved across the hillsides, including the Trapp Family Cem near the western slopes and the Village Center Cem in the heart of town, providing vital touchstones for local genealogical research.
