Gates of the Arctic National Park encompasses the entirety of this interior Alaskan landscape, documenting a region defined by high mountain drainages and glacial valleys. The Killik River serves as the central geographic artery, winding through the western and southern portions of the terrain as it flows toward the Colville. This 2016 survey provides a high-resolution view of the topographical contours that shape the Brooks Range, including the smaller tributary of Ron Cr in the southeastern corner. The absence of permanent structures, roads, or improved trails on this sheet reflects the wilderness character of the central Brooks Range, where geography is determined solely by the watershed patterns of the Arctic divide.
