About this map

Kettle Creek snakes through the center of this Clinton and Potter County landscape, defining a deeply incised valley that historically dictated the movement of settlers and timber through north-central Pennsylvania. The small community of Cross Fork sits near the northern boundary, while further south, the Tamarack settlement is positioned near the expansive Tamarack Lookout Tower. These uplands are characterized by numerous named hollows and runs, such as Hogstock Run and Browns Mill Run, which feed into the primary drainage system of the West Branch Susquehanna watershed.
