The Lewis and Clark Range forms the backbone of this high-elevation landscape, where the boundary between Flathead National Forest and Lewis & Clark National Forest follows the sharp divides of the continental interior. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent peaks and ridges, including the namesake Three Sisters and the lofty Hahn Peak. A complex network of drainage basins feeds significant waterways like the Spotted Bear River and S Fork Lick Cr, while smaller basins hold secluded water bodies such as Sock Lake, Hart Lake, and Lake Quiet.
