The Tongue River Reservoir and its associated Tongue River Dam dominate the southeastern landscape of this Rosebud County survey. This engineered water system altered the flow of the Tongue River as it winds north through the high plains of Montana. The surrounding terrain is defined by a dense network of drainage systems, including the long course of Fourmile Creek which is fed by the North Fork Fourmile Creek and South Fork Fourmile Creek.
