Tony Hill Bay and a series of elliptical depressions define this Lowcountry landscape on the border of Bamberg and Colleton counties. The terrain is characterized by these unique geological formations, including Piney Bay, Hog Bay, and Horse Bay, which are interspersed among the drainages of the Little Salkehatchie River and Schofield Swamp. This 2017 survey reveals a rural area largely dedicated to timber and agriculture, connected by a network of local routes such as Hunters Chapel Rd and Howells Mill Rd.
