Toyah Lake and its surrounding alkali basins define this arid Reeves County landscape as recorded in the early 1960s. The topography is dominated by the expansive Dry Salt Lake and the intermittent flow of Toyah Creek, which drains into the main lake basin. Settlement is sparse, represented primarily by the Lake Ranch located south of the water.
