The Cimarron River carves through the northern landscape of this region, flanked by the prominent Cimarron Bluff and several smaller tributaries including Dugout Cr and Headquarters Cr. This area on the border of Payne and Lincoln counties maintains a rural character defined by section-line roads and scattered agricultural settlements. In the south, the town of Tryon is established along the section grid, while the community of Agra sits near the eastern edge.
