Colville River flows across the southern portion of this remote Arctic landscape, providing a critical waterway for one of the most significant river systems on the North Slope. The drainage of Disappointment Cr meanders through the central terrain, carving a path between the high ridgelines that characterize this portion of the t4s r33w and t5s r33w townships. The landform patterns here reflect the severe environment of the North Slope Borough, where elevation changes across the tundra define the hydrology of the Brooks Range foothills. This 2016 survey documents the untouched hydrography and topographical contours of a region primarily defined by its wilderness and the scale of its major river channels.
