The landscape is dominated by the broad upland of Vermillion Mesa, which is dissected by numerous topographical depressions including Douglas Draw, Kraft Draw, and Rye Grass Draw. These ephemeral drainages flow toward Vermillion Cr, which cuts across the northwest corner of the quadrangle.
