Evidence of human activity is primarily limited to seasonal transit and resource extraction. A complex system of Pack Trails, Wagon Roads, and Jeep Trails provides access to remote points like Cloochman Saddle and Secesh Summit. A lone Prospect label east of Willow Basket Creek points to the area's history of mineral exploration. From the north, Ruby Meadows Creek and Nethker Creek carve paths through the granite slopes, while Squaw Meadows offers a level break in the otherwise steep elevation gains of Diamond Ridge.
