Waucedah anchors the southwestern corner of this Upper Peninsula survey, situated near the winding course of Hamilton Cr. The settlement is defined by a traditional grid near the Waucedah Township Cem, serving as a gateway to the dense network of forest roads and water bodies to the north. The landscape is characterized by its drainage patterns, with the Sturgeon River and Cassidy Cr carving through the western reaches, while the Little Cedar River emerges in the southeast. Numerous isolated water bodies, such as Spruce Lake and the distinctively named Lake Number Eighteen, are interspersed among the hills. A mix of legacy logging routes like CCC RD and modern recreational paths, including Snowmobile Trail 115, illustrates the area's transition from an industrial timber frontier to a managed natural landscape straddling the Dickinson and Menominee county line.
